Welcome to our journey!
We are Jim and Elaine. We traveled to Alaska in the summer of 2002 and it has remained the adventure of a lifetime. Although we have visited 48 other states and all provinces in Canada but one in our RV Camper, Alaska remains as our fondest of memories.
Through our photo galleries of our Alaska journey, we hope that you will see all that Alaska has to offer. We did not go on a cruise to the coastal Pacific areas, but we traveled by RV all through the interior and off-the-beaten path wilderness areas. We hope to visit Alaska again with plans to see the coastal region.
We did follow the Mile Post magazine throughout our journey, so for anyone planning a road trip to Alaska, make sure you get your Mile Post to guide you along the way. We would have missed many things if we had not had that guide with us. http://www.themilepost.com/.
But an even greater asset to find those out of the way places is the Bearfoot Guides that are free. They have them for three regions and you can pick them up along the way. They gave much more local info.

We had our brand new digital camera for our photos and we were excited! Of course, at the time, the digital image was saved on a floppy, so all our photos are 640 x 480 resolution. We came home with over 3,500 photos on more than 300 floppies. Next time we go, we will be sure to take high res photos.
We are starting to talk about going back to Alaska in the summer of 2018. Stay tuned...
